Getting to Eilat from Tel Aviv

Flights: “Arkia” and “Israir” are the airlines operating flights from Tel Aviv to Eilat. Most frequencies are from Sde-Dov airport (5-7 flights a day by each airline), but also from Ben-Gurion airport, normally two flights a day by each airline. Flights duration: 50 min, or 30 min by Jets.

Overland: “Egged”, Israel’s biggest public transport company operates regular services from main Israeli cities to Eilat. Journeys from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem to Eilat take 4-5 hours, and tourists can enjoy the ride in modern air-conditioned buses.

Eilat’s airport is in the city center and a short taxi ride from most major hotels. Eilat’s international airport is located outside the city, in Ovda.

Getting around

“Egged” Bus Company operates few routs in Eilat connecting centers in the tourism area, the tourism area and the city centers and between the north and south beaches. Alternatively, Eilat is known for its great number of Taxis. The cost of short or medium size journey range from 15-30 shekels and we recommend to, always, ask the taxi driver to operate the taxi meter. Several major international car hire companies are represented in Eilat and have outlets at the airport.
